Pain Management Online Course

Teacher: Caelan Kuban, MSW

This course defines the relationship between trauma experiences and pain. Sensory-based interventions are identified giving interveners tools to help manage and alleviate the pain felt by the children and adults with whom they work.

Cost of taking this course online is $25 which includes CEUs. Upon successful completion of assignments, tests and evaluation you can download a CE Certificate of Completion. This course fulfills the pain management continuing education requirement for Social Workers in the State of Michigan and provides 1 CE credit. If you need SB CEUs please notify us upon registration as there is specific paperwork that is needed for this credit. If you have questions about SB CEUs email ckuban@tlcinst.org.

NOTE: The Pain Management online course (1 credit hour) does not fulfill the requirement to earn or maintain your certification.

Comments from Students

When I first signed up for the course I was questioning what I might learn in 1 CE hour, plus I have had years of working with PTSD cases. I walked away from the course being pleasantly surprised as I learned some new ways to work with patients in trauma, pain, and PTSD management. I especially liked the Safe/Fun Place Imagery and Drawing Activity. I gained insight from some of the latest research on auto accidents and PTSD, was pleased with the Melissa case study, and enjoyed reviewing the migraine headache study. If the instructor was going to offer additional on-line courses in pain management in the future I would be interested in taking it for my Social Work License/and or Psychology.
