Trauma and Loss Consultant Supervisor Certification

Level-3 Consultant Supervisor Certification* provides an advanced level of understanding of trauma and loss in children and families.

Level-3 Certification requires you to attend a minimum of 2 days at TLC or other trauma-related trainings and the remaining requirements can be completed through a case study or an essay exam and by submitting an article or presenting at the Assembly. The requirements may be completed over a period of time. 

After completing Level-3 Certification you may use the credentials "CTC" which stands for Certified Trauma Consultant.

Level-3 Required Courses

  • 2 Additional TLC (or other**) trauma-related trainings
  • Case Study or Essay Exam
  • Any additional 6 credit TLC Online Course
  • Give a half day presentation at TLC's Annual Practitioners Assembly

*Prerequisite courses: Children of Trauma and Structured Sensory Interventions
**Additional other (non TLC) trauma-related trainings must have been completed within the last two years and will only be accepted by presenting a certificate of completion and a one-page paper (double spaced) describing the fundamentals presented at the conference.

Maintaining Certification

To keep your TLC Certification up-to-date all you need to do each year is:

  • Complete one of TLC’s CE approved 6 credit online courses, OR
  • Attend a one-day TLC training
