Glasswing
A Starr Global Learning Network program
As a society, we've been taught to view others who don't look like us in a variety of ways, often resulting in well-intentioned people committing, or ignoring, acts of superiority or dehumanization that inflict pain, generate conflict or divide our human family.
The Glasswing experience
Thousands of people from organizations like Eaton Corporation, Kellogg Company and Michigan State and Purdue Universities have participated in Glasswing racial healing seminars. Through a two-day facilitated process, up to 35 participants are guided through a transformation of their hearts and minds about racism and how we relate to one another as members of the human family. Many participants describe the experience as life-altering:
"Wow, this was awesome. I can't explain the difference in my life in just two days. I needed this."
"The experience left me drained, yet exhilarated. I left feeling that all hope is not lost. There is a purpose for our lives, and it goes much deeper than our jobs, our possessions, even our families."
"The seminar affected everything that I had once thought. Racism cannot be healed through hatred, but it can be through individuals who take the time to educate others".
"As I was attending this seminar, I couldn't help but think of all the people that probably should be here and probably never will."
