Children of Trauma Online Course

This online course is a recorded live presentation of William Steele's Children of Trauma that “sets the foundation” for the use of the intervention strategies participants will practice in the course, Structured Sensory Interventions. Learn how to become a “witness” to how grieving or traumatized children now experience life, how they now see themselves, others and the world around them as a result of all they have been exposed to. This helps us, as practitioners, appreciate the intensity of their experiences, their neurological impairment and their intervention needs in school, at home or in clinical settings. Segments demonstrating the intervention process will prepare participants for the full-day of practice. We recommend completing this course prior to attending Structured Sensory Interventions presentation. The SITCAP textbook is required reading and can be purchased from the TLC online bookstore.
Cost of taking this course online is $100. Upon successful completion of assignments tests and evaluation, a certificate of completion can be downloaded. It was wonderful having access to the course on line. I also attended the fabulous training in San Antonio. If possible, please offer the San Antonio training in the fall. Many of my colleagues wanted to attend but were unable to due to being responsible for state testing in the spring.
