Become a Facilitator

Glasswing trainings offer a different way of looking at others, ourselves and the world. Facilitators are well-trained, highly respected and exceptional at what they do - conducting 2-day seminars that are nonconfrontational, protect the safety of participants and challenge the thinking and behavior of adults in the workplace, community and home. Above all, Glasswing facilitators are good listeners and good at guiding participants to listen to one another - not with the intent of finding flaws or points of disagreement - but to encourage true dialogue, connection and understanding.

Traits of a good Glasswing facilitator:

• Courage to establish a safe environment with this highly emotional subject
• Desire to continue personal healing and growth, while assisting others
• Knowledge of the curriculum content and current events related to "isms"
• Confidence in one's ability to effectively lead others through this transformational process
• Commitment to generating a true dialogue among a diverse group of participants

Our facilitators make the training look simple. In truth, it's not. The topic of racism can be delicate and even toxic to some people and dealing with it commands exceptional courage and commitment. That's why our sessions are intense and carefully structured to make the most of every minute. We also encourage facilitators to work together in teams to create the good chemistry needed to co-facilitate the seminars.

By becoming a facilitator, you will touch and change the lives of large groups of people - in corporations, communities, churches and schools. There also are financial incentives. Once you're trained, Starr will provide you with the tools you need to market yourself and the seminars.
